Employee Spotlight: Louie Adams.

Louie Adams

Sales and Leasing Consultant
McCurley Integrity Honda

Louie Adams is one of our favorite Sales Specialists here at McCurley.  If you think cars sales are all about intimidation and the hard sell, then you haven’t met Louie Adams.  He has the face of a cherub angel and the demeanor to match.  Everyone who works with Louie as a customer or as a co-worker says the same thing, “He is one of the most genuinely nice people I have ever met”.  So how does he do it? What path has his life taken that has created this ambassador of amicability? Well we dug a little deeper to get to the bottom of it.

McCurley: How long have you been in the car industry?

Louie: I have been at McCurley for a year and it is my first job in the industry.

McCurley: what did you do before?

Louie: I know it seems like they don’t go together, but I worked in both construction and the restaurant/hospitality industries.

McCurley: How did you end up in the car business?

Louie: Well I was looking to change things up and try something new, and I had a friend who worked at McCurley. So I moved up from Oregon and have loved it ever since.

McCurley: How do you like the Tri-Cities so far?

Louie: I actually really enjoy living here. I am still getting used to finding my way around, but it is a good place to live. I have noticed that the season changes are a bit more drastic here as well.  I am used to four seasons, but It can go from Hot, to freezing in a matter of days here. It definitely keeps you on your toes.

McCurley:  Coming from the restaurant world, have you found any food establishments that you really like in Town?

Louie:  I am actually rather partial to Woo’s Teriyaki in the Uptown Plaza in Richland. Any place that can make their food at hot as they do has my respect.

McCurley: What was the most surprising thing about the automotive industry?

Louie: My other jobs have been more physically demanding, with this one you are mentally exhausted everyday. I am also surprised how much fun it can be. Don’t get me wrong, it is long hours and a lot of work, but I find my self really enjoying what I do.

McCurley: What is your favorite thing about working at McCurley?

Louie:  I love that McCurley is a large company with great resources and amenities but it still feels like I am working for a small family business.  I think that is why they have been so successful in creating the reputation they have.

McCurley: What is something most people don’t know about you?

Louie: If people don’t know that I used to be in the restaurant industry, they are surprised that I cook. My favorite thing to make is Italian food.
